Classic Georgian
The Georgian Age began with the accession of George I in 1714, ended with George IV in 1830 and had a long lasting influence on furniture design. Characteristic of Georgian simplicity, this table eschews the elaborate carving and intricacies of earlier periods for bold, clean, straight, lines. Finely tapered eight-sided, jewel-contoured legs balance the austere cabinet of the Classic Georgian. It employs Chippendale influence in its consistent use of Honduran mahogany and is an understated classic, imbued with solid craftsmanship. Shown in Honduran Mahogany with piano finish, leather net drop pockets, hand-tied braid and silk tassels.
